Network Organizing Principles

EurekaAlert reports a new study in a recent issue of Science (damn I'm behind in my reading again). The study claims to find similar organizing principles in different types of networks: genes, neurons, the internet.

This is the topic of the book Linked: The New Science of Networks by Albert-László Barabási. I leafed through it the other day and it seems to be very good. See http://tesugen.com/2002/11/15.html#linked for a post of mine on this book.
